Víctor Hugo Pérez belongs to a generation of artists in Jalisco born in the 1970s who have differentiated themselves by their uninhibited and singular irreverence in dealing with themes not often addressed in local art. This exhibit, prepared especially for the halls of the Museum of Arts of the University of Guadalajara, displayed medium- and large-sized oil paintings as well as sculptures in ceramic and wood that showed the artist’s unique perception of his inner world and the fierce environment that lashes his daily life.
