The series FEMALES <\/em>is the result of a collaborative undertaking between V\u00edctor Hugo P\u00e9rez and Juan Carlos Mac\u00edas, two artists from the state of Jalisco who worked together for two years on these large-scale formats. Their technique involved recreating large-scale famous works of art through the lens of their particular perspectives. With the diametrical yet complementary styles of their strokes they brought to life more than 100 drawings on paper, fabric and wood.<\/p>

Females<\/em> gives us an intimate perspective into the art of these two creators who used photography to capture scenes with models as inspiration for their recreations involving stories with women, animals and fantastic beings who sprang from the artists\u2019 imaginations. Texts by Erik Castillo, Ricardo Duarte, Gobi Stromberg, Jorge Pech Casanova and Tania Balleza accompany their art as does the poetry of Carmen Villoro.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
